About SHARK
Shark is the only 72’ cockpit motor yacht ever built by Rybovich and is arguably the rarest Rybovich yacht in the world. Shark is the ultimate creation of Tommy Rybovich and is one of the most unique and beautiful yachts ever constructed by the yard.
Shark has had one owner for the past 17 years, who has spared no expense in achieving her first-class condition.
Built of mahogany with traditional cold-moulded construction, Shark’s hull topsides are three diagonal layers of mahogany laid at 45-degree angles, with a total thickness of about 1" and an exterior layer of fiberglass, cloth, and resin. The hull bottom has five layers of diagonal mahogany planking in the vicinity of 1-1⁄2" thick, and is also fiberglass and resin-sheathed.
Shark has accommodation for nine guests in four cabins, or use the forward cabin as quarters for three crew. The configuration comprises the master suite, which is a queen size double, and three twin cabins.
Shark's interior places the focus on comfort, with soft mahogany woods, contrasted by white carpets, fabrics, and painted wall panels. The interior is tastefully decorated with colourful cushions, artwork, and historic yachting memorabilia.
The main saloon is accessed via a companionway from the wheelhouse and features an L-shaped settee with a small table aft, a drop-leaf teak high/low table, and pair of custom armchairs. The galley is forward of the saloon with a dinette to starboard.
Shark’s wooden helm is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Recessed electronics and modern gauges are all perfectly placed in this beautiful bridge arrangement. It’s a captain's utopia with excellent sightlines, making this vessel a joy to helm.
Shark's angled bow allows her to slice through seas with a flow and smoothness rarely seen on similar vessels. Powered by CAT 3406 engines, she cruises at 18 knots and has a top speed of 23 knots.
