On 9 and 10 November 2022 SuperYacht Times successfully hosted the Gulf Superyacht Summit, with the support of its key sponsors P&O Marinas, Event Partner Lürssen and Platinum Sponsors Camper & Nicholsons, Al Seer Marine and Abu Dhabi Ports. The two-day event was held onboard Queen Elizabeth II in Dubai. The Gulf region is of growing importance to the superyacht industry. Dubai has some of the biggest marina developments in the world and the region establishing itself as a superyacht hub.
According to SuperYacht Times, the Gulf Superyacht Summit was attended by more than 200 international and national delegates, who enjoyed a two-day event of talks and presentations that pivoted on the topic: how can we attract more superyachts to the Gulf region?
“The most important takeaway from 2022 Gulf Superyacht Summit is the level of talent and the quality of the companies that are coming to the region, and they are starting to bring operations here,” Giovanni Alessi Anghini, chief innovation and technology officer of Camper & Nicholsons commented. “We are not just envisioning and discussing what is going to happen here in the coming 10-15 years, we are executing it.”
“I was delighted to attend the Gulf Superyacht Summit in Dubai. The Gulf is a new destination, it is growing,” Thomas O’Nial, sales manager of C&N mentioned. "The infrastructure being built here is wonderful, it is tremendous. There are marinas popping up everywhere. The government and the authorities are really promoting the growth of yachting in the region.”
Camper & Nicholsons announced the expansion in the Middle East during 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, opening its proprietary office in Dubai. Conveniently located in Mina Rashid marina, the new office will offer full-scale turnkey services to domestic and international clientele.
