Cetacea relaunched following an extensive shipyard period

Camper & Nicholsons is delighted to announce the successful relaunch of Cetacea following an extensive shipyard period at Roscioli Shipyard, and the yacht’s return to the market under central agency with Camper & Nicholsons.

This 40m classic Feadship is a true "Coup de Coeur" of the 1970s. Cetacea’s exterior profile exudes a charmful elegance and her timeless design is complemented by a traditionally styled interior by Robin Rose & Associates.
 
Cetacea has just completed a multi-month yard period, completed June 2023. The work included a rebuild of the main engines, reconditioning of the entire driveline, a full electrical assessment, a new bilge manifold and piping for the fuel manifold, an overhaul of the stabilizers, and installation of a new IMO approved Sewage Treatment System. New antifouling was applied to the hull after a full strip down to bare metal and hull thickness analysis. Her exterior paint was reconditioned, the entertainment systems received an upgrade and integration of the Starlink Maritime system. 
 
Her Dutch pedigree and resulting quality continue to make Cetacea one of the most sought-after Feadships of the past 50 years. Cetacea’s current owner is the most recent Commodore of the New York Yacht Club, and in that cherished role Cetacea has been at the head of the fleet - displaying an unparalleled level of elegance, class, and seaworthiness.

Some of Cetacea’s notable expeditions include a multi-year circumnavigation of the globe (under her previous name, Queen of Diamonds, from 1996 to 2000), and a voyage to New Zealand, through the Pacific and back to the USA, as Alchemy in 2014 - 2016.
